I've had my second zombie dream in the last two months. Zombie dreams are usually done in the post-apocalyptic sort of setting. This dream, takes place in the onset of an undead invasion.

So, I'm closing up the tea shop I work at. Lights are off and the doors are locked. I hear screaming outside and two people are being pursued: a man and a woman. The man bangs on the doors window and I let him in while his cohort tries to elude the zombie. She gets cornered and this zombie looks just like a regular person and not the typically pale, sort of bumbling kind of undead. It sort of looks like he's making out with her as she's screaming. I find a weapon to fend him off and find a street stop sign and slam it against his head and immobilize the zombie almost immediately.

I take the couple into the store and try to investigate what happened between them and mister Zed. As a precautionary measure, I tell the two I'm going to bind their arms and legs together with a strap just in case they do turn into zombies and try to kill me as I finish closing up the store.

Completely ludicrous dream. I wonder why I've been having dreams about zombies invading Fresno.

Maybe I should change my approach on women to Christopher Walken status.

I must say...

Writing on the internet (as opposed to tweeting) takes me back perhaps to the end of my freshman and definitely to my sophomore year of college. I remember giving serious thought, brainstorming, drafting, and writing extensively on LiveJournal to pass the time and even catch a glimpse into the depth of those that I befriended through the net. I don't know why I stopped writing (even into notebooks), but this bug bit me once again and I'm back to writing. There was once a time where my writing was pretty awful, but after a class I took about two years ago, my writing style has matured greatly. I wish I had been able to write like that in high school. Maybe it all correlates to social skill? I was very shy as a kid and took a jackhammer to that shell in college and have never looked back.

Well, I've got to get to work, I've got a split shift and this is the second of the two in which I close the store at 11pm. Oi...

Home Theatrics

So, now that I live on my own, I've been thinking about setting up a home theater. Because, well, owning a PS3, XBox 360, and a Wii just doesn't look too flattering on a 13 inch personal TV with a VCR built into it. So, to combat this situation, I'll buy a projector because they can be [hypothetically] bigger than any stupid HD TV.

The thing is truly a monster, I have not ordered it yet, but I soon shall. In the back is an HDMI input, S-Video, VGA, Component, a headphone jack, and some other input mean for older computers as well as 10 watt speakers built into it. I would use this to project videogames from either of my three systems, blu ray or standard DVD movies, and as a 70-80 inch monitor for my laptop straight onto my wall. In order to not have to deal with all the hassle of connecting and reconnecting wires, I'll have to upgrade my receiver.

The receiver I have right now is a Yamaha receiver straight from the 80s, perhaps the late 70s. It was handed down from my parents along with a turntable from the 1980s as well. It was probably top-of-the-line back in its time, but now it's probably considered Father Time in this present day. What I'm looking at right now is from a deal on newegg.com for a receiver whose standard price is $600, but with a code it goes down to $329! What a steal! I have to jump on this deal and quickly!

As you can see, that's a lot of holes. It's not as complicated as it looks really. Four HDMI inputs go into it and the very first HDMI port goes straight to the projector. That means the PS3, XBox 360 and Laptop can go in and I still have an extra port! The Wii would use a standard component in and the receiver sends a standard video out. Hook up some speakers and that's that.

To have my laptop that far, I should think of getting myself a wireless mouse and keyboard, if they were Bluetooth enabled, that would be even better! This way, I don't sit so damned close to the laptop's monitor at about a foot and a half away!
